Because the vacuum cleaner wasn't enough...
Nathan found an old phone and decided to take it apart:
And, like Kyle needed a new project, he created a water balloon launcher with an old bike tire and a sandbox toy.

Fall Carnival
Every year, PTA hosts a big fall carnival with games, activites, food, and raffles. I assembled the raffle basket for Nathan's class. Their class is the "secret agents", so we made a spy themed basket. It came in 2nd place for most raffle tickets (which was great, but a bummer considering Nathan really wanted it and we didn't win it)
Nathan was sick with another case of strep throat, so he and Kyle stayed home and I took Margaret. We spent the first hour together: played a few games, got her face painted and hair sprayed orange, and then got on the hayride with our friend the Chick-Fil-A cow.
After that, she abandoned me to hang out with her friends so I went to help out. I judged a costume contest, and then spent a very exausting hour working concessions. We stayed until 11pm to help clean up. It was still a fun time, and we raised lots of money for the school.

Meet #5: Judge's Cup
Despite the crazy 5:30 pm Sunday evening start time and the 1 hour drive, we had a good time at the meet. Margaret had her best beam and vault scores of the season so here is some more video. (The beam video is great EXCEPT for the guy in the brown shirt that walked in front of me!)
Pumpkin Patchin'
Every year we have gone to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Celina...and every year it has gotten more and more crowded. This year when my friend Kim mentioned making a road trip to HIS Pumpkin Patch and Maze Craze in Gainesville with her family, we thought it might be a nice change. It was so nice that it was not crowded, the corn maze was really cool and the kids had so much fun just hanging out (as well as enjoying the zip line, rope swing, hayride, and water balloon launcher). On the way home, we stopped by Lantana Lodge and had a nice snack overlooking Lake Ray Roberts.

Get a rope...
We headed off to Ray Roberts for a impromptu camping trip this weekend. We were blessed with great weather, a relaxing time, and some fun creations with rope. First, Nathan decided he needed a tree swing, so Kyle and Margaret made one for him with some rope and a log. Then Margaret and Jacob decided they needed to make a trap for Brock so they created one with more rope and another log. Who knew how much fun a rope and a log could be?

Meet #4: Metroplex
Meet #3 was a very late Saturday night meet, a little crazy and I didn't get any good video.
So now we skip to Meet #4 where I got shots of beam and vault as well as a few more candid pictures of the meet. Enjoy!
